Hiya!

We are the Finnish metal band Queenstone. The purpose of the following is to outline the values we consider important in music.

Even though we have a killer web-site and sell kick-ass woolly hats and stuff, the main thing for us as a band is the music itself. We’ve been playing basically with the same core line-up for almost ten years, and right now we feel that playing and writing songs has never been more effortless, exciting and just plain fun.

While having fun is of course the main thing in playing in a rock band, we also greatly value integrity in music. Queenstone has never sought to sound like whatever happens to be hot at a given moment; rather, we aim to develop our music and other activities with patience and feeling.

Speaking of developing ourselves as a band, we feel that it’s essential to have a professional attitude towards all aspects of producing and playing music. Within the band, we focus strongly on preproduction, studio work, management and promotion, for example. Also, our external support group includes professional photographers, graphics and web designers - and the grannies that knit the woolly hats, of course.

To conclude, we feel that very soon we have gone about as far as a rock band can go without releasing a full-length record. Indeed at the moment we are strongly focusing on selling ourselves to a deserving record label. Hopefully it won’t take too long now, but while you’re waiting for the first record, we want to thank you, our growing bunch of fans and supporters, for your faith and devotion!
